Who'd a thunk?

That after all this time, these two trouble makers would end up together? We're trying to decide who looks more mischevious here... Charley with his "who me" look, or Sarah with her "innocent" smile! What do you think?

Moms... in the eyes of 2nd Graders

I've seen this email several times before, but with a little variation each time. This is one that Charley emailed me today and I guess with the mood I was in, it just kind of made me smile. Maybe because these kids are around Nate's age, and it sounds like some sort of response Nate would give! Or, it could be that I miss Nate when he goes with his dad for the weekends, who knows.

Why God Made Moms (In the Eyes of a 2nd Grader).

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the sticky tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my Mum just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other Mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's Moms like me.

What kind of little girl was your Mum?
1. My Mom has always been my Mom and none of that other stuff
2. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.

Who's the boss at your house?
1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.
3. I guess Mom is, but only because she has a lot more to do than Dad.

What does your Mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your Mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your Mom, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my Mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it and not me.
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

Where Credit is Due...

Obviously, I got some blogging lessons! Thanks Tracie for all your help. It looks great, and it was so easy after you set it up for me! I can't wait to start working on my Christmas banner!!! LOL. I feel like I'm up with the season now! Happy Fall everyone.

How Much Longer??

Well, since the countdown to our Disney trip is over, we needed to find out something else to count down to! Charley's devastated after BYU's loss, so I thought I'd give him something to look forward to! He's been awaiting the BYU/UTAH game all season, hoping that they would both come into it undefeated. Oh well, it's just a game, but hey, it's only 35 days away!

So a friend (Thanks Tracie!) pointed me to this website where you can create your own countdown widgets. It was actually really fun to make this one. I can see how it could be addicting... soon my sidebar will be full of them!.... But for now, here's the official countdown.

Happy Boss's Day!

So tomorrow (or I guess I should say today) is boss's day. I always say that one of these days I'm going to benefit from this holiday. But,I guess for now, I'll just be the one up all night making the cards. Seems like I'm doing this same thing every year at the last minute.... Actually, I enjoy this kind of stuff, so I'm really not complaining.
My two bosses were easy. They like simple crafty stuff. Charley's boss, however, is a guy... quite a bit of a challenge! So he's not getting a card. He's getting FOOD!!
Anyway, I just finished these and I'm sitting here waiting for Charley's boss's dessert to come out of the oven so I can go to bed. So while I'm waiting, I decided to post and read a few blogs. I really should start working on these things sooner!!!

2 Worlds, 2 Voices...

... and one returning husband! Well, I had sold my tickets on KSL classifieds. But the lady never paid me, so I ended up going to the concert after all!! It was so good. I'm glad I went. I went with a friend from work, who didn't really like Reba. Or Kelly. But who cares. I had fun anyway.

I loved the show REBA. Of course, Reba was on it, so how could I not?? Well, Melissa Peterman (Barbara Jean) was there too. She is a comedian now, and she opened for the show. She was hilarious. She was even funnier after watching the show and knowing the type of stage relationship those two had! After that, Reba and Kelly came out together, and they both were on stage the whole show! They did all their songs together, trading lead and back up. It was different seeing Reba singing and dancing POP, but it was still a great concert.

And the best part of the weekend... Charley finally came home today. He went to Texas to visit the aftermath of the hurricane and to check on the other properties he manages down there. Ok, he's only been gone since Tuesday, but I still missed him a ton! I'm so glad he's back. We haven't been apart since we've been married. It reminded me of our dating days when we just taked on the computer and MSN because he lived in Provo and we didn't get to see each other every day. I guess what I'm trying to say is... Welcome home C. I luv ya and I missed ya tons.

More than BYU??

So he says he loves me more than BYU? Wow... I should feel honored! Well, actually I do. Charley made this digital page all by himself! I'm pretty impressed... and, as long as I come in before football, then I'm happy! (Afterall, the best time to ask him for something... like a new appliance for example... is right after BYU wins!!). Ask me about the story of my new fridge sometime!!

We're Back!

Whew. We made it! I have never travelled with such a large family! It is so much fun to have in-laws that actually love to go to Disney! I've never been to Disneyland with that many people. 25 to be exact. And that's not even Charley's whole family! There were three sibs missing. (We missed you James, Travis & Heath). Anyway, we've uploaded the pictures... just click on the picture to the right (the one of Nate & Dale).
